I'm proud to say that Paris has slowly inched itself up to one of my favourite cities. If you remember, my favourite was initially Split but... Paris is seriously really close. Jeez, I really enjoyed Paris!!!!!!! I thought it was be grossly overrated and commercialised and overhyped (shoutout to my best friends who have Paris as number 1 on their favourites). I loved everything about Paris from the food, pastries (of course), huge gardens, attractions (yea, touristy) and the night lights!! I went there with a really bad cold and sore throat but I was extremely desperate to get better because I didn't want to be consuming calories without actually tasting them... The cold was beneficial when it came to not being able to smell the wafts of pee in the metro stations though. Other than that one very sad day of rain (read: wet squishy socks and shoes ew), the weather was perfect. Yknow what they say about the French, well we didn't chance upon anything like it. Most of the locals we came across were so pleasant and kind and that really was the cherry on top. Ah I can continue gushing about Paris because it felt like a very nice dream I really want to go back now.

Please be glad I didn't come up with any bad Louvre puns for captions ;)

Already predicted this to happen so I guess we had lower expectations when it came to seeing the Mona Lisa in real life

It was raining the day we went to the Notre Dame but it was a magnificent sight nonetheless

We ran across the road to get below the Arc de Triomphe #totalbadasses

Whoever said that the Eiffel is overrated WAS!! SO!! WRONG!!

I fell in love on that first evening out to the Sacré-Cœur :')

(word)

Spent a couple of hours sitting on chairs with the sun in our faces at Tuileries Garden ah it was one of the best feelings ever

I looked at Paris from Tour Montparnasse and I remembering tearing up because it was so gorgeous and I couldn't believe I was actually there in Paris experiencing all that I have been experiencing. I remember the wind and how chilly it was up there in the 8-degree weather but it was so serene at the same time. And right there and then I was very very very thankful for being given this life and all the opportunities to be where I was (and am right now). It's been one hell of a difficult year but at the same time it truly is one of the best ones of my life. All the emotions that I've tried to not feel for a long time came rushing to me, but as much as I wish that the first half of 2016 never happened, I'm glad I didn't give this up too.
