As usual, 2013 ended on a lovely note with my beautiful girlfriends. We've been spending the past 5 new year's eves together and this time was no different. This time we had dinner in a shopping mall (for the first time) and watched gorgeous fireworks together.

Dinner at L'Entrecote at the basement of Suntec City.

Escargots doused in butter and garlic.

What is dinner without a bread platter?

And the main: medium steak with free-flow of fries.

We ordered their specialty for dessert: caramel lava cake which was a change instead of the usual molten chocolate cake.

And like the rest of our dinner dates we spent a part of it taking pictures (hey it's the last day of 2013...)

So I took a picture of everyone taking a picture/video of the 8-minute long fireworks. Technology has pushed us this far that we've kind of forgotten to actually soak in the moment and enjoy things as they are.

So I've set off my own fireworks in Delhi (the ones that actually splay across the skies when shot up), and I've seen longer firework displays and had better views. But the one we saw together was really magical. I know I'm always emotional and sentimental but I felt so blessed and thankful for their company. I think it was just being there with the people who matter and suddenly I was grateful for everything that took place in 2013.
