A tiny piece of home came to me in the form of Kelly in Seville, Spain. I was absolutely thrilled to go on this trip together because this would be our first trip together although we've been hangin' for the past 12 years hahahaha. Also probably realised how chubby I was on this trip too boo you weight-gain!!!!! Arrived and checked into our Airbnb a day earlier than Kelly and was greeted by gloomy, rainy skies. Thank goodness I brought an umbrella BUT was silly enough to not bring a winter coat (!!!!!!!! WHAT EVEN WEINA SERIOUSLY).

I honestly thought Sevilla's weather would be similar to Lisbon but I was so so so wrong... was so severely under-packed and desperate to get indoors all the time to escape the cold. But Kelly came to my rescue because she lent me one of her coats when she arrived. Would like to describe how I welcomed her as she trudged with a bag-pack and a roller-luggage along the cobbled pathway leading up to our apartment but y'all know how I give my hugs ;)

Real Alcazar de Sevilla

The intricacy of the detailed carvings on the walls and ceilings left us in absolute awe

This beautiful ray of sunshine 🌞

Was very impressed with Plaza de España and exceptionally pleased that we came at the perfect timing -- few tourists and right before the storm came in hahahaha

Always running into cafes because we both aren't huge fans of the cold (and the wind)

Ended our first night together with very yummy tapas and cups of sangria mhmhmhmm

So we took an overnight bus from Sevilla to Granada and had to stay overnight at the bus station from 3am to 9am. It was such a torture. What is worst than feeling paranoid, exhausted, uncomfortable and freezing cold at the same time?? Exactly how we felt that night at 3am sitting on metal benches in the 5 degree-winter weather undressed and fearing for our lives because there were shifty people within our 10m-radius... The morning couldn't have arrived sooner (the sun rose at 0810 #$%*&^%$#@!) and we downed cups of hot choco and lattes before heading out in the cold towards our Airbnb.

The view of Albayzín -- the old Moorish quarter from the Alhambra in Granada

Walked through the alleys of Albayzín

Middle Eastern snacks could be found very easily

Stopped for churros con chocolate because it was just too cold (anything warm was a saviour)

Sevilla and Granada were gorgeous and they were the first Spanish cities I visited. Definitely special also because of the company. We spent an undeniably unforgettable five days together and probably had more #firsttimes than we have had in the past 12 years. Kinda crazy how fast time flies because suddenly we're about to graduate from university although it feels like we just collected our PSLE results awhile ago. Still in denial because I don't want to grow up so fast but growing old with such gems by my side doesn't seem like such a bad idea too. Will always remember grabbing onto each other at the Granada bus station out of fear and the mad rush changing into fresh sets of clothes as we tried to catch our Alhambra tour in the afternoon. Thank you for the patience and taking A+++ photos of me and us hehehe I think I did a pretty good job too ;) Lava you lots Kelly thankful for the past 12 years and to many many many more years ahead as we grow old together.
