Motto of the trip: THE BEACH LIFE IS THE CHILL LIFE!!! Algarve's beaches were absolutely gorgeous. It was crowded with tourists (it was the beginning of autumn and the weather was perfect) but every beach we stepped into we felt the fine soft sand between our toes, smelt the crisp salty air and were greeted by swell waves and the sun occasionally hiding behind the clouds on a background of blue skies. Dream come true for someone who REALLY loves the beach...

Algarve was a 5-hour drive off the highway (to avoid tolls) from Lisbon. It's an entire region south of Portugal that consists of many small towns such as Lagos, Albufeira, Sagres and Faro etc. The road trip crew was rather randomly put together but we've been hanging out ever since :')))))

Cape St. Vincent is the most-Western point of Europe and used to be thought of as the end of the world because you couldn't see beyond the seas

Algar Seco was a whole stretch of amazing rock formations in Carvoeiro that overlooks some really sick views

We swam (I repeat, swam) to see Ponta de Piedade (Benagil Caves) - a hole in the rocks (usually tourboats drive in and let tourists snap some photos before steering off)

The swim in and out of the caves was rather.... perilous hahahahaha

We also did a short canoe trip around the rock formations of Lagos

Anita was practically my slave because she was rowing while I was busy taking pictures hahahahaha :')

Seriously the kind of life for me (we'll just stop at any beach and grab our towels from the car boot and chill for hours)
