Two Saturdays ago, I felt like a princess with the amount of love I received on my birthday. I've always loved celebrating my birthday every single year but I've never expected the whole plethora of attention I received. It may not be much, but I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of it. As usual my birthday fell on the Saturday right before our final exams. And that's also why I'm so so so thankful for everyone who spent time with me despite having to study for finals.

The day before my birthday started out bright and early at our usual spot in the library. Scream|Venom popped out of nowhere as I was going to Raffles City for lunch with Vic and they bought me my first celebratory cake -- cheesecake (which I ate in the cinema a few hours later).

As usual, I had a pre-birthday dinner with Cheryl at Sprigs. Great chicken, steak, bread and butter and to end it off, dessert. Always loving our nights before the clock strikes twelve with a nice dinner-and movie-date. This time round the Hunger Games movie ended before midnight and we sat at Starbucks and watched funny videos and laughed till our sides ached. We've always had that tradition to spend the last moments of the year together before we become a year older officially. So at 0000 we gave each other a hug and I looked up at my reflection to see this swamp of colours floating above my head (I was honestly taken aback). Then there was Bren standing there with a bouquet and nine helium balloons in his other hand (one popped).
