mixtape playing on loop all summer

A camp the organising committee spent five months preparing for and as facilitators it took us about three months of brainstorming for cheers and performance ideas. If there's anything that'll stop me from volunteering to be a facilitator, this'll be it. That was the worst part. The best part was getting to know sixteen of my first group of freshmen, understanding their hobbies and their personalities. Getting to know my co-facilitator better as well (found out things about him that I never knew although I've known him for a year). The four days our group spent together -- those were good times. Even though there were multiple hiccups here and there, even though I was popping Panadol four times a day because my fever wouldn't subside, even though I didn't shower after a whole day of running around, even though we only had three to four hours of sleep a night, even though I was curled up into a ball under my not-so-thick sleeping bag every morning when I woke up.
The feeling of accomplishment after those four days however, was rewarding. And then I realised that I definitely had no regrets joining sports camp despite how overwhelmed I was with fatigue.
I started out being a facilitator with the mindset that my objective would be to have my freshies be as bonded as they can. It didn't matter whether my co-faci and I were close to them or not because as long as they could mash well and have each others' backs even beyond camp, that would be sufficient to me. Of course it's definitely a bonus if they treated us more of friends than as their facilitators. I can safely say that this worked out really well and it always warms my heart whenever they spam our Whatsapp group with the plans of their next outings or photographs whenever they're together :')
Following this will be a series of pictures taken during Slashed 2014 featuring Venom|Scream (our sexy group name), a whole array of sports they tried out (while I took pictures), photos with my best-Waikiki-ops-gals (jumped at any opportunity to take a picture) and the very best Loki facilitators:
