Tiny glimpse into what's been going into my tummy the past couple of weeks:

My short meet-up with Li saw me going home (to gym, actually) with 6 delicious Hummingbird Bakery cupcakes | Li brought them all the way home from London on her 13-hour flight

And the verdict: really not overrated at all -- moist, fluffy cake and flavourful icing

Supper with the family near NUS on one of the weekends after we spent an evening at Changi watching the planes fly over our heads

Made breakfast for the family: sunnies and sausages, hash-sweet-potatoes, apple-pancakes and toast

Salad Stop @ The Metropolis -- really tasty, healthy meal and filling as well (not very sure I'll pay such a high price for this everyday though)

Late lunch with mom at Swensens on one of the Thursdays when I don't have to go to school (we shared a banana split afterwards oops)

Baked oats topped with caramelised strawberries and bananas | mom says my kids will suffer in future because I'm always experimenting with weird food

Poulet @ Raffles City | I would say it lives up to its name with super tender chicken and I absolutely loved their lamb ragout

@ U-Town last week studying with Cheryl and rewarding ourselves with a slice of cake from Starbucks

Tim Ho Wan with mom last week (still very very in love with their baked char-siew buns)

Makisan salads on the last day of school during our WCSR meeting (soooooo tasty)

AND TO KICK OF THE START OF THE STUDY WEEK:

@ Jimmy Monkey for breakfast and books on Monday

I would say the french toast was satisfyingly thick but the peaches were sour and not too much to my liking... The egg and muffin I had was alright as well, nothing special to be honest.

But of course, the company is always the best despite the lacklustre food

And nowadays I find myself downing a cup of coffee before the day begins to facilitate my 'do-not-fall-asleep' oath. Caffeine in tea has officially no effect on me whatsoever so I am finally turning to coffee for that extra fix.
