A little sneak peek at what's been happening in my life besides my Taiwan holiday, gym trainings and sailing:

Really good (but very overpriced at S$8-9 per piece) ice-cream wedged between thick homemade cookies. It's very very delicious (something all sweet-tooth people will like because it's ice-cream and cookies) and I might pay that exorbitant amount to have one again if I'm ever feeling rich.

Made pesto (from a bottle Cheryl and I bought at Pasarbella the week before) linguine for lunch when the parents weren't at home but was unreciprocated by my brother who only likes red pasta...

Usually we'll smuggle food into the cinema but Kelly and I were really hungry so we decided to have a Cathay feast while watching the Hobbit.

For Christmas Eve, I made paella (with Kelly's help - we were screaming while peeling the prawns). We had a mini dinner this time because having just came back from Taiwan I wasn't so immersed in the Christmas-y mood as yet and I didn't exactly have time to prepare a feast. Nonetheless, the Spanish rice was quite a job well done (not that I'm praising myself hehe).

Met up with the Starring pals to catch Walter Mitty and had a hot piping Italian meal afterwards. There were only the 4 of us but we had a good time catching up (and they enjoyed making fun of me and the things I said...).

Open Door Policy had really really good and creamy soup and I liked their tagliatelle a lot.

A meet up with old friends makes the night (especially over good food). Really glad I at least kept this couple of friends from my secondary school days (I wasn't there more than half the time) and just laughing at old times makes us realise how much we've all grown the past 7 years.

Sleepover at Sis' place like old times. So many things have happened the past few years and we've spent much less time together ever since JC started for me. But

Since we were around the area, we rounded off our night with dessert from Plain Vanilla (and were ashamed because the couple next to us were sharing a single cupcake while the two of us bought 3 on our own...).

It's been more than two years since our UK trip and I'm glad we've been such good friends ever since.
