As I'm drunk with emotions right now, writing them down seems like a good way to start. Cannot believe I sat on my room floor crying for a good 15 minutes after reading all the letters I've received this birthday. They may not be much, but every letter I read held so much love and appreciation. As I thought long and hard, I really question whether I absolutely deserve this much love. I soak myself in the sentences so beautifully written by the people I love and hang onto their every word. If you were to ask me what strengthens me, well, they give me strength. After so many years, I've started to believe that the love between friends and family definitely supersedes the love between man-and-woman. These are the people who stay. They accept you, flaws and all, through the good and the bad.
I'm definitely not the perfect friend. I neglect, I forget, I get a little too busy. But they've always been so patient. So, so, so patient. Although I may never have the time to spend with them or despite my shallow efforts to stay in touch sometimes. They've never left. What, may I ask then, have I done to deserve this? The love they've bestowed upon me regardless of what I may or may not have done. I wonder if I truly am worthy.

I promise to change. I promise to make the effort, to straighten out my priorities, to cherish, to love and to always remember how infinitely blessed I am. I want to be deserving of the love I receive.
