Still a little disoriented because I haven't really registered that my brother is married already. I haven't gotten used to seeing him with the ring around the fourth finger of his left hand. Was thinking about it on my way home two nights ago and suddenly felt a tinge of sadness how quickly we're all growing up. Sure, we're entering completely new chapters of our lives but leaving things behind is never easy. But of course, if the future ahead is something we're all willing to fight for, then why not take the plunge?

Sunday was definitely the highlight of 2013. I've never seen my parents so happy, especially my dad. Imagine a stern army guy clad in a suit and tie, all teary-eyed and beaming like a child. It was a good day to catch up with relatives we haven't seen over the year and also the flurry of taking pictures, hugs, congratulations and handshakes. My brother said he hasn't been so tired from smiling his entire life (hahahaha because he usually doesn't smile... I'm kidding) and he says he barely remembers the events of the day because the two of them were ushered here and ushered there, following the co-ordinator around blindly. Really glad everything was extremely smooth-sailing and the food was good.

Presenting to you, the newly weds:

pretty bouquet to pick the bride up with

Martell and oranges for the bride's parents

the groom before his big day (organising the guest list at 1am)

me at 1am fixing them curls

it's the big morning and the nerves are hitting...

the younger one looking suave himself

my very pretty mommy

dad calming himself down by concentrating on the drive

at the solemnisation ceremony with the two dads as witnesses

a lot of tears were shed while saying the vows (I cried too); how powerful words can be as an assurance and how marriage is a promise you keep towards your other half: I think love can really be so powerful and beautiful

"in it for the kiss"

the 'brudder' and 'sista' gangs

now we're 4-siblings strong

Yuwen (Jun's best friend since primary 3) and I talking to the co-ordinator as emcees for the afternoon

look and at how widely the two of them were smiling

dad went all emotional: told my brother he's a 'big boy now' and very warmly said 'welcome to our family' to Jun; that scene was entirely unexplainable

the younger ones having to serve them tea too

♥ ♥ ♥

with Jun's family as well (I have no idea where my dad went to)

the day is never complete without a few self-shots with my baby bro

where the banquet was held (I was too busy to take pictures of all 9 courses)

really happy for this big guy here that he's found his happiness :')

my favourite boys

yet another case of 'we're growing up way too quickly' - these people pretty much sum up my childhood

and with my favourite sissy over here - a large chunk of me wouldn't be here without you really

with my cousins - great catching up and laughing over everything

not forgetting my bestie who has seen the good the bad and the ugly sides of me and for just being herself

my brother and adorable cousins

"I've been running around the whole day, can I sit and eat now???"

my dad was definitely the happiest person on the planet that day and you could see him glowing inside and out

my precious precious precious brothers who have seen me through just about everything

ever so thankful for this beautiful family I've been blessed with, and now there's 6 of us :)
