bright like diamonds
10:32 PMPleasant end of the school week with this jolly girl. Never fails to brighten my day up with the lame jokes and dry humour. I love how I feel completely comfortable with her and how we can talk about everything and anything under the sun, or cafe ceilings more like. Today we explored Tanjong Pagar area and combing the streets, keeping our eyes peeled for any quaint cafe. And digesting the food in our bloated tummies too. Thank you for completing the week with so much laughter, food and all that talk.
ok I have to admit I need to start recycling my wardrobe pieces |
@ Tanjong Pagar Road |
what she deems as 'good lighting' |
greek yoghurt with berry compote and poached pears |
my very yummy baked eggs w smoked salmon (I thought the salmon was a bit off and didn't taste fresh) |
smoked duck and brie sandwich (tasty according to Cheryl but they could improve on the appearance) |
our favourite drink order: hot chocolate (made with real melted choco) |
second stop: Group Therapy @ Duxton Hill |
had to call Sheena for a recommendation and boy does the waffle taste good |
my new lip balm (ironically my mother bought it for me) |
Speaking of which, today we caught City of Bones. It wasn't that bad though I wouldn't watch it more than once (then again, I rarely watch any movie twice unless I'm really captured by it). Today's movie was kind of like a mash-up of Twilight and Harry Potter and Percy Jackson with its own twist. I also liked how it had a bit of humour (where the audience actually laughed) in addition to the sci-fi and fantasy story. And another thing, almost every actor/actress in the movie was soooo good-looking. If give it a 7.0/10 despite rottentomatoes' unforgiving rating of a pathetic 4.0.
Despite the bad-face day, we both had a smashing time (with a free movie ticket each).
